The intention of the design was to complement Ada’s unique visual style by offering visitors a playful interaction that challenges conventional portfolio norms and aligns with the distinct character of her work. The intentionally quirky, glitchy, and off-beat interaction is meant to further distinguish Ada’s portfolio and leave a memorable impression.

The design of the project page builds on the mechanic from the homepage to ensure continuity of the experience, while rendering the content in a way that is optimized for quickly browsing through the entire portfolio.

Due to the absence of hover interaction, the web experience was intentionally reinterpreted for mobile, allowing for a more streamlined experience on the go. The mobile layout prioritizes ease of access and displays case study content in full width to offer the most optimized interaction with Ada’s work.

The case studies page is built on a well-defined underlying grid that allows flexibility in content distribution and creative use of negative space, while maintaining visual order by anchoring each illustration to a consistent visual schema. Each project is accompanied by video content, featuring an automatically displayed shorter version (to optimize for bandwidth) and a full version that plays on interaction.
